An established and growing Civil Litigation team in Warrington is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their busy department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to manage their own claimant caseload while also gaining exposure to complex, high‑value work. You’ll be joining a supportive, dynamic litigation team handling a broad range of clinical negligence matters, including multi‑track and complex claims. The role offers genuine progression, high-quality work, and the chance to make a real impact on client outcomes.
About the Role
Manage your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from inception to conclusion.
Responsibilities
* Advise on merits, liability, causation and quantum
* Draft key legal documents including statements, pleadings, schedules and correspondence
* Instruct counsel and medical experts
* Conduct liability and quantum investigations
* Liaise with clients, experts, counsel, defendants and insurers
* Negotiate settlements and attend mediations/settlement meetings
* Support senior colleagues on complex and high‑value matters
* Prepare cases for trial and attend hearings where appropriate
* Ensure compliance, accurate file management and case progression
* Assist with billing, costs and file closure processes
Qualifications
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years’ PQE
Required Skills
* Strong experience managing claimant clinical negligence matters
* Excellent technical knowledge of clinical negligence litigation
* Confident handling of litigated files from start to finish
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Clear, confident communicator
* Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
* Commercially aware, pragmatic and solutions‑focused
* Genuine passion for claimant clinical negligence work
Preferred Skills
* Advocacy experience is a bonus but not essential

Location & Hours
Warrington office – excellent links to Liverpool & Manchester
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri)
