Join our Least Restrictive Practice Team as a qualified and experienced Social Worker. The Least Restrictive Practice Project (LRP) is a unique multi-professional project created to enhance the provision of personalised, yet cost effective, less restrictive approaches to social care, to meet the needs of individuals with learning disabilities, Autism or Mental Health difficulties. Our purpose is to ultimately reduce distress, restrictions and improve our clients’ quality of life. What you’ll do: Engaging in comprehensive strength based and trauma informed assessments to understand peoples’ needs and the support available to them. Managing a diverse caseload, providing supervision and guidance to Social Workers and offering expert advice on complex cases. Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary manner, effectively negotiating with individuals, their families, and other professionals to achieve positive results. Triaging safeguarding referrals and making well-informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcome. What we’re looking for: Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England (SWE). Due to the needs of the team, we’re unable to consider Newly Qualified Social Workers for this post. A sound understanding of how to apply a strengths-based approach. Understanding of social work issues, legal frameworks and social services’ statutory duties.
