We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate registered nurses to join our dynamic and supportive day surgery team. As a Band registered nurse, you will play a key role in the patient journey. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, holistic care to patients preparing for surgery as well as those recovering post-operatively. This includes carrying out thorough preoperative assessments, supporting patients and their families through the surgical process, and delivering safe and effective postoperative care to promote recovery and a positive patient experience.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, gaining exposure to a variety of surgical procedures and advanced clinical practices. You will also have opportunities for continued professional development, mentorship, and progression within a friendly team that values learning, teamwork, and high standards of care.
This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate, motivated, and eager to build expertise within surgical nursing while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day. Main duties of the job
Patient Care
• Demonstrate and promote a patient- and family-centered style of clinical practice.
• Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Accurately document and report to other members of the nursing team, multidisciplinary team, and family/carers regarding the care given to patients, and communicate changes as they occur.
• Respond to emergencies with composure, maintaining patient safety and seeking immediate support, and supporting the patient, family/carers, and other staff as required
• Identify and discuss patient needs with the team/staff, patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team. Be able to plan one's own workload.
• Demonstrate a problem-solving approach to effectively execute planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care based on a person-centered model of care.
