Our client is looking for a Rolling Stock Technician in Cambridge Fixed term contract - 6 months 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 am to 15:30pm (however some night working may be required) What will the role of a Rolling Stock Technician include? Ensuring unit availability for wheel turning runs Ensuring safety procedures and documents are adhered to Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader within set time scales and to the recognised standards Ensure that worksheets and electronic work recording documentation is signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work Ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative Ability to interpret engineering drawings and provide technical solutions to problems Minimum Experience & Qualifications for Rolling Stock Technician: Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering NVQ Level 3 qualification in Traction and Rolling Stock is preferred Previous experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities DMU maintenance, overhaul or fault diagnosis experience Ability to interpret en...
