We are seeking an Electroplater to join our Aircraft Landing Gear Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the surface treatment of aircraft landing gear components, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability. This is a shift-based role - Four days on/Four days off rotation Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare aircraft components for plating through cleaning, masking, and surface treatment Perform electroplating processes (e.g., cadmium, chrome, nickel) in line with approved specifications Monitor and control process parameters to ensure coating quality and consistency Inspect plated parts for defects and verify coating thickness and adherence Maintain and adjust chemical baths and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials Complete all required documentation to ensure full traceability and compliance Follow health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA/FAA) Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to meet turnaround and quality targets Responsible to complete work in line with technical instructions and to the correct quality standards You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record of jobs completed (PER) book. You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience Experience and Knowledge The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in a range (ideally minimum of two) of the following electroplating processes Cadmium Plate and Dalic Cadmium plate Nickel plating Hard Chrome plating Alocrom Nital etch (Acid Etch inspection) Heat Treatment of components Should have a basic understanding of Processes and procedures associated with Electroplating. Experience of working in a EASA 145 environment (desirable) Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and Company Job cards. Previous experience to undertake Material Handling to include workshop Gantry cranes and slings.
