About the role:
Based on our Chelmsford campus, you will be responsible for providing expert immigration/visa advice to current and prospective international students. The International Student Advice Service also offers welfare guidance and support to students via our on- campus daily drop-in service, alongside a range of other digital platforms. In partnership with other members of the team you will be responsible for delivering orientation and welcome events across the academic year to help our new international students make a successful transition to life in the UK, and their studies at ARU.
With a degree or equivalent professional qualification, you must have experience of advice work, and knowledge of the immigration rules relating to students. You must also have a thorough understanding of the customer service needs of students and other stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds. You will have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and have excellent communication and presentation skills. Regular travel to other ARU sites will be required. The successful candidate will be expected to work on campus five days per week during our peak periods.
