Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire Start Date: January 2026 or Sooner Contract: Full-Time / Part-time SEND Teacher – KS3 and KS4 GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to work with KS3 and KS4 students with Specialist Needs (SEN), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a smaller, supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher: Teach and support small groups of SEMH students who may portray behaviour challenges. Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Track pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs. Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other staff to deliver the curriculum and therapeutic support. Follow Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and be aware of pupil's triggers and warning signs. Requirements of a SEN Teacher: QTS or PGCE, or a minimum of 6 months unqualified teaching experience. Experience in SEN, alternative provision, or mainstream secondary settings. Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and promoting student welfare.
