Senior Solicitor / CILEX

Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a qualified Senior Solicitor / CILEX with solid claimant clinical negligence and proven litigation experience to join their Clinical Negligence Group. This role involves handling complex, high-value claims and supervising a small team.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage your own caseload of complex and technical clinical negligence claims.
* Supervise and mentor a team of case handlers, providing training and support under the direction of the group leader.
* Undertake case planning, risk assessment meetings, and weekly individual supervision sessions.
* Participate in team training and marketing activities.
* Maintain the group’s case management procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in clinical negligence law and procedures.
* Strong track record of litigation experience.
* Experience in supervising and guiding a team, with a focus on support, coaching, and encouragement.
* Excellent organisational skills and a pragmatic approach to managing claims.
* Proficient IT, communication, and leadership skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of CPR and the law relating to clinical negligence.
* Experience with Legal Expense Insurance, publicly funded, and conditional fee agreement arrangements is advantageous.

Hybrid Working:
* This role offers hybrid working with the requirement to work 2 days a week in the office and 3 days from home.
* Candidates will need the infrastructure to work from home and will be provided with a company laptop.
