I am recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the Newport area who is seeking to recruit a qualified Financial Controller to join its team.
The role will initially report into the FD of the organisation, but due to succession planning the role will progress into the FD position within the next couple of years.
As part of the finance team (6 in total), the successful candidate will provide day to day operational management across the Finance function, ensuring that systems and processes are robust and deliver maximum efficiency. Working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the effective management of financial resources, you will use financial data to help support planning and commercial decisions to ensure the future growth and profitability of the business.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities will include -
1. Lead the Finance Team through building strong working relationships, setting clear and fair expectations ensuring that each person understands their contribution to the business.
2. Produce financial statements including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, 4 weekly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
3. Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.
4. Provide management reporting for decision-making, including project appraisal, evaluation, and post-implementation analysis.
