Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and progressive Obstetrics and Gynaecology service in Ayrshire for a period of 12+ months. The post is a predominantly Obstetrics post with a regular antenatal clinic and a scan list (should the candidate have the required experience). The post has contribution to both obstetrics on call shared between a team of 20 consultants. We see the successful candidate as an individual with leadership skills who will engage with and help develop our service, specifically with respect to quality improvement and safety.
Responsibilities
* Provide obstetrics-related clinical care and participate in the antenatal clinic and ultrasound scan list as required by experience.
* Contribute to obstetrics on-call rota in a 20-consultant team.
* Engage in service development with a focus on quality improvement and safety.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice and on the Specialist Register.
* RCOG ATSM qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Advanced Labour Ward Practice, Fetal Medicine, Fetal Care, Acute Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy (desirable).
Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions of service are those determined by the new Consultant contract (Scotland 2004) and the post offers a 10 programmed activity basis.
