Role Description
As an Engineer Surveyor you will carry out hands‑on inspections of plant and equipment in accordance with company Technical Standards and Health & Safety provisions, reporting to your Area Manager. You will prepare reports of examination following your inspections using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as Offices, Factories, Quarries and their associated Electrical apparatus.
* Examine LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes.
* The role is remote when not on customer sites.
Salary Information
Pay: Starting salary £44,213 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline.
* Effective at short, medium and long‑term planning to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
* Able to travel effectively within your local allocated work area.
* Able to process documentation and undertake general administration.
* A good team player, deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors of your discipline as and when required.
Essential Skills
* Practical background in low‑voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding (not electronics).
* Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
* Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations.
* UK Driver’s Licence.
* Aptitude for planning and prioritising own workload.
* Strong customer interaction skills, good oral and written communication.
