Personal Injury Solicitor
London - Hybrid Working
A leading UK law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its Specialist Personal Injury team, focusing on complex international travel litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a claimant‑side litigator who thrives on challenging work, direct client engagement and high‑quality supervision within a collaborative team.
The Opportunity
You'll handle a varied caseload of overseas personal injury matters, acting for clients injured abroad while on holiday, working overseas or travelling internationally. Typical claims include:
- Accidents on package holidays
- Foreign road traffic collisions
- Incidents on cruise ships and aircraft
- Employer, public and product liability matters with an international dimension
Alongside running your own files, you'll work closely with senior lawyers on high‑value and group litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of international PI claims
- Taking detailed client instructions and drafting witness statements and schedules of loss
- Instructing medical experts and reviewing medical evidence (including Part 35 compliant reports)
- Obtaining and analysing medical records; preparing evidence bundles
- Advising clients on funding arrangements including CFAs and ATE insurance
- Instructing counsel and attending conferences
- Drafting pleadings, court documents and orders
- Maintaining core bundles for group action work
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in claimant personal injury litigation
- A solid working knowledge of the CPR
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Clear, confident communication skills and a client‑centred approach
- A proactive mindset and appetite for professional development
PQE is flexible but the role would likely suit some relatively early in their career, between 1 and 5 years PQE but applications are welcomed from candidates with the relevant skills and experience, regardless of formal post‑qualification level.
