About the Team:

Warwickshire’s Separated Children and Leaving Care Team, work with care experienced young people aged 16-25 and young people who are separated children in care and care experience. Whilst this is one service, the team is split regarding staff and workloads for separated Young People Seeking and the Young People Leaving Care, however there is a duty rota which covers both services. The Separated Children and Leaving Care Team is a county wide service with offices in the North and the South of the county to enable access for all our young people.

Now is an exciting time to be part of our team as Warwickshire begins to embed our Families First teams who support the young people in our County. Our approach is about locality working, multi disciplinary and multi agency teams that support the whole family. Building strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Team Manager to join our Leaving Care Service. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who believes that young people leaving care deserve the best possible start in adulthood especially when it comes to securing safe, stable, and suitable housing.

In this role, you will:
•Provide strategic oversight of our Supported Lodgings and Staying Put schemes.
•Manage and support a small team of experienced professionals, including:
•Two Housing Advisors who work directly with care-experienced young people to secure appropriate housing.
•One Personal Advisor responsible for assessing supported lodging providers, presenting them to panel, and overseeing

Staying Put arrangements.

•Other leaving care staff.

•You will play a key role in ensuring that our young people are supported through strong multi-agency partnerships and innovative housing solutions.

Key Requirements:

We are looking for someone who:
•Has a strong interest in housing and understands the challenges faced by care-experienced young people.
•Is confident in leading and supporting a team.
•Can build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Department for Education, district and borough councils, and housing providers.
•Brings a proactive, solution-focused mindset to service development and delivery.
•Experience in housing, social care, or youth services is desirable, but we are also open to candidates with transferable skills and a passion for making a difference.
