Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management and control.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
* Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
* Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and support.
* Participate in catering events or banquets as required.
Skills
* Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments is preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
* Familiarity with inventory control processes and menu planning strategies.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with front-of-house staff.
* Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Previous experience in dietary departments or catering services is a plus.
