To provide administrative and clerical support to the Ward, carrying out assigned tasks in respect of a comprehensive clerical and
computer service to the work area. To provide an accurate and efficient data entry service of patient information on a daily basis, and to provide a daily reception service to the Ward area.
Main duties of the job
Liaise with other departments as required.
Check the careflow error folder daily to ensure errors and issues are resolved.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
10. English Language GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
Desirable criteria
11. IT qualification
12. Administrative qualification
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
13. Experience of taking and responding to telephone enquiries from customers and within own organisation and prioritising, as necessary
14. Six-month experience of working withing NHS environment/ customer care
15. Experience of using computers in a work environment
Desirable criteria
16. Minimum six months receptionist experience/ or other relevant experience
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE

17. Ability to communicate clearly in spoken English
18. Ability to write legibly and clearly in English
19. Ability to relay messages clearly and accurately
20. Computer literate with knowledge of Word and Excel
21. Understand the need for confidentiality and data protection
22. Demonstrate ability to organise own workload, prioritise and take initiative where necessary
23. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst retaining accuracy and attention to detail
