Role ResponsibilityCollaborate with stakeholders to identify data sources, usage patterns, and refresh needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions.Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Talend, and data lake technologies.Transform and structure raw data for analytics consumption, ensuring it\\s clean, reliable, and optimised for performance.Ensure data governance and compliance by adhering to InfoSec policies and contributing to data documentation and metadata standards.Troubleshoot, test, and monitor data flows, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain platform stability.Contribute to delivery planning and project workstreams, advising on data engineering approaches and dependencies.Support CI/CD processes using tools like Azure DevOps, helping manage releases and streamline development workflows.Promote adoption of the SCV platform, working closely with analytics users and encouraging best practices across the business.Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance performance.Stay up to date with data trends, sharing knowledge and fostering innovation across the team and wider business.The Ideal CandidateSkills & Attributes:Strong communication and technical presentation skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.Proactive, business-focused, and solutions-oriented.Comfortable working under pressure and in agile environments.Experience & Technical Proficiency:Strong experience with T-SQL for data querying and manipulation.Solid understanding of data engineering concepts such as ingestion, transformation, and storage.Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.Familiarity with Python and other data-oriented programming languages.Experience using MS Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD toolsets.Exposure to Talend or similar data integration/workflow tools.Package DescriptionEvery day, our colleagues deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.
