Pay
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work are shown as availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility; if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the times advertised, we’d still love to hear from you.

Our Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to different customers in their homes every day. This role is about more than just driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service, with a smile.
It’s hands on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same and customers look for help in many different ways. For most of the day you’ll feel like your own boss delivering to customers, but a team of Managers and colleagues back at base will support you when you need them.

You will be responsible for
Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:
* Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy and organized
* Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as you see it
* Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process
* Load the van as required; check the van for roadworthiness
* Talk to the customer about changes to their order, substitutions, and offer refunds for issues
* Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
* Explain to the customer that substitutions will not incur extra charges
* Deliver during the customer’s time slot
* Call the customer before arriving if running early
* Call the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit
* Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues; show appreciation
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations; balance home and work
* Share ideas with your Manager to improve the store
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
