Responsibilities
1. Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets by managing and operating to the Key Performer Indicators of the region.
2. Enhance Arch's standing and presence locally by establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at the Region's most important brokers.
3. Display strong negotiation skills that aide conversion and relationships with our key brokers.
4. Maintain and enhance personal knowledge of relevant technical issues.
5. Contribute to the technical knowledge of thepany by feeding back technical andmercial market intelligence to the Regional Director & wider team.
6. Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, especially the claims and survey teams, when required.
Role Requirements & Skills
7. 2 Year New Business Underwriting preferred
8. Proven broker relationships
9. Proven Track Record in Underwriting Development
10. Ability to negotiate flexibly and appropriately
11. Effective selling skills
12. Demonstrates a range of influencing and negotiation approaches
13. Risk perception/Risk selection skills
14. Pricing of risk accordingly
15. Successfully developing effective trading relationships
16. Consistent achieving of goals and objectives
17. Experience working across functions / matrix organisation to collaborate and build strong relationships
18. Operational effectiveness and efficiency
19. Clear and effectivemunication
Qualifications
20. Minimum A level standard preferred
21. Professional Certification - progress towards ACII preferred
22. Full clean driving licence
Experience
23. The job holder will have experience in themercial Insurance industry, strong interpersonal skills and work in a structured, organised and planned manner.
