Engagement and Participation Worker
Closing date: 11 May 2026.
To support and assist in the involvement of children/young people and their families/carers who are engaged in services delivered by the Children's Care group in line with the Trust's Patient and Public Engagement and Experience Strategy.
Hours are flexible between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends based on engagement events.
Main Duties of the Job
* Consolidate and develop information received from patient feedback and provide this in a way that assists management in developing a patient and carer informed service.
* Engage with local service users and carer groups across all three geographical areas.
* Plan, facilitate, and coordinate meetings, events, and focus groups, with a focus on the Trust Young Advisors Group.
* Support recruitment of young person representation at Trust Council of Governors.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the post (e.g., childhood studies, social work, youth work, public health psychology, sociology, nursing).
Experience
* Sound understanding of community involvement.
* Broad understanding of building relationships within the community.
* Experience of engaging with patients, carers, members of the public and communities.
* Relevant engagement experience and good understanding of the NHS and Social Care Landscape.
* Ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Experience working with partners and stakeholders.
* Data inputting and maintenance of electronic databases.
* Ability to review complex information and present it within reports.
* Demonstrable experience of digital and social media platforms.
* Ability to analyse information and present it concisely.
* Experience within the NHS.
* Facilitating groups, workshops, or youth voice activities.
* Working directly with children and young people.
Knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
* Able to deliver to deadlines and short timescales.
* Can work with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Able to communicate to different audiences.
* Ability to manage priorities and demanding workloads.
* Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
