Sheridan Maine is partnering with an innovative, growing business based in Dorchester to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team. The Role
* Supporting month-end close activities, including preparation of accruals, prepayments and journal entries
* Preparing monthly financial reports, management information packs and key performance indicators
* Supporting the production of management and board-level reporting, providing insight into financial performance and key trends
* Reviewing departmental expenditure and analysing actual performance against budgets and forecasts
* Managing financial transactions including invoicing, cash allocations and expense processing
* Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any variances identified
* Delivering ad hoc reporting and analysis to support wider business initiatives
* Working collaboratively across the finance function to support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement projects
About You
What we're looking for from the successful Management Accountant:
* Ideally studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or qualified by experience)
* Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
* Excellent numerical and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail
* The ability to interpret financial information and explain variances clearly to stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
* A proactive mindset with a willingness to identify and implement improvements
