Senior Project Manager – Retail
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Retail to lead the delivery of complex retail PPOS projects for our clients. Reporting to the Head of Retail Operations, you will oversee end‑to‑end project management – from briefing through to delivery – managing all client communication, ensuring that projects meet client objectives, budget and timing while upholding our high‑quality standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Deliverables
* Project Leadership – Lead multiple concurrent PPOS and retail projects from initiation to completion, managing all client communication, scope, schedules, budgets and profitability.
* Client Management – Act as the senior point of contact for key retail clients, building strong relationships, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction.
* Communication – Manage all communications in relation to projects in an organised, clear and consistent manner.
* Briefing & Scoping – Work with internal teams (design, development, production) to translate client briefs into clear project plans and deliverables.
* Risk & Change Control – Identify risks early, manage changes and keep stakeholders informed to maintain project alignment.
* Team Coordination – Direct and support internal project managers and cross‑functional teams, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities and timelines.
* Supplier & Partner Liaison – Work closely with our production managers and supply partners to ensure deliverables meet quality, budget and time requirements.
* Commercial Accountability – Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts and gross margins throughout the project lifecycle.
* Reporting & Governance – Provide clear, timely reporting on project status, issues and risks to senior management and clients.
* Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve delivery and enhance client satisfaction.
* Travel / Flexibility – Be prepared to work across our Cheadle CX Centre and visit UK/European client sites as required.
Skills & Experience Required
* Significant project management experience (8+ years), within permanent retail environments/PPOS/retail design agency setting (not print).
* Strong track record of delivering multi‑site or multi‑material retail projects on time and within budget.
* Exceptional client‑facing and stakeholder management skills; able to influence and build trust at senior levels.
* Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
* Commercial acumen — able to manage budgets, margins and forecasting effectively.
* Skilled at interpreting complex data from multiple sources to create actionable plans.
* Collaborative leader with the ability to motivate and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
* Familiarity with supplier management, risk mitigation and business continuity planning.
* Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
