* Hours: 40 hours per week, Term time only
* Salary: £14.77 to £16.13 per hour (Annual £26,391 to £28,821)

The Aurora Group provides education and care for children, young people, and adults with SEND. Aurora Cedars School in Wolverhampton offers bespoke education for pupils with ASC/SEMH needs, with a creative and personalized curriculum designed to ensure success.

Role Overview
The HLTA Active Citizens will develop and deliver the bespoke Active Citizens Curriculum, including outdoor activities, visits, and trips. The role involves working closely with the Active Citizens Lead and SLT to ensure the curriculum is inclusive, engaging, and effective. Support with curriculum delivery and promote positive behavior and independence among pupils.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Active Citizens Lead in daily curriculum activities.
* Lead in the absence of class teachers or curriculum leads.
* Support the SENCO in inclusion and behavior management strategies.
* Follow EHCPs and review strategies as needed.
* Adapt to changing needs of the school to ensure smooth operations.
* Provide high-quality, differentiated educational activities.
* Build supportive relationships with pupils to foster safety and enjoyment.
* Encourage independence and high standards of behavior.
* Collaborate with SLT on curriculum development.
* Manage budgets in accordance with school policies.
* Complete risk assessments to ensure health and safety.
Qualifications & Experience
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
* Experience with SEN, SEMH, and ASD pupils.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
* Experience managing challenging behaviors.
* Experience in education and inclusive settings is advantageous.
