DESCRIPTION: Join our Legal team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Contracts Specialist and contribute to our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll provide legal support for commercial contracting activities across our organization, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of agreements. Working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product Development, Sales, IP, and Procurement, you'll help drive contract standardization and process improvements while ensuring compliance with corporate policies. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, with comprehensive training resources and exposure to diverse business units within a supportive, collaborative environment. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience, in contract negotiation and drafting in a commercial or legal environment • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Legal Studies, or related field • IACCM or NCMA certification preferred • Paralegal certification advantageous • Strong working knowledge of contract law and commercial terms • Experience with government contracting and compliance preferred • Advanced proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office suite • Excellent analytical and risk assessment capabilities • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizations • Fluency in English required; additional language skills advantageous • Experience with contract automation and process improvement initiatives • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives • Travel may be required
