Are you a dedicated and compassionate RMN looking to make a difference in the community? We are seeking a qualified Community Care Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic team.

Job Title: Community Care Registered Mental Health Nurse
Reporting to: Community Care Nurse Manager
Location: Remote/Hybrid - The majority of work will be home based, however there will be the expectation to visit clients in some of the following areas:
* Tyne and Wear (Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Gateshead)
* Durham (Darlington, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees)
* Northumberland (Hexham, Blyth, Cramlington, Ashington)
* Carlisle, Penrith (in county Cumbria)
* Middlesbrough (in county North Yorkshire)
You will be able to plan your own diary with regards to visiting clients; expectation to visit clients approx. every few months.
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Other Benefits Bonus up to £3,000 pa + Car Allowance £320pm (+ Mileage)
Responsibilities
* Be the face of expert care – supporting service users, families, and carers to ensure compassionate, high-quality services.
* Lead from the front – devising and implementing care plans, risk assessments, and essential care documentation with a person-centred approach.
* Collaborate with the Registered Manager – reviewing and assessing referrals, debriefing service users and carers after critical incidents.
* Maintain high standards of care – acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring full competency sign-off.
* Support & empower your team – provide leadership, supervision, and direction to Community Care Leads and Healthcare Workers.
* Drive continuous improvement – working alongside the Community Care Nurse Manager to enhance community care services.
* Be solution-driven – managing crisis situations and ensuring responsive, effective care.
* Take ownership – conducting clinical investigations and offering guidance out of hours via on-call support (approx. one week in ten).
What you will bring
* Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current NMC registration.
* Experience in mental health settings such as community, crisis intervention, acute care, rehabilitation, forensics, CAMHS, and more.
* Expertise in mental health support – including complex cases, risk management, challenging behaviours, self-harm, suicide prevention, and therapeutic interventions.
* Knowledge of national care regulations (CQC, Care Inspectorate Scotland/Wales).
* A confident leader – mentoring and guiding others while ensuring high-quality care.
* Tech-savvy & adaptable – comfortable with remote working and digital healthcare solutions.
* At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
