Hours: 37 per week, Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 16:30, Friday 8:00 – 16:00.
Salary: £31,908 – £32,294.

About the Role
Community and Enterprise resources are looking to appoint three Assistant Facilities Officers within the Menu Development and Service Development areas of the Facilities team. Main accountabilities are to assist the Facility Officer in the promotion and development of Facilities Services, including service projects such as expansion of free school meals, menu development and adapted diets. Provide advice, guidance and support to Facilities Assistants across geographical areas to ensure services meet organisational and legislative requirements.
Main Duties
* Assist the Facility Officer in the management of staff within various geographical areas.
* Ensure compliance with Internal Audit cash handling procedures within schools by carrying out full cash audit, including checking the completion of all financial paperwork and operating procedures.
* Carry out catering, cleaning and janitorial audits, including checking compliance with organisational and legislative requirements. Verify immediate actions and report findings to the Facility Officer.
* Assist the Menu Development Team in ensuring that the Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2020 are adhered to, including meeting criteria around adapted diets.
* Liaise with client groups for individual requests for adapted diets. Attend pupil and parent councils, PTA, for feedback on cleaning, janitorial and catering services.
* Participate in school working groups such as health promoting groups, eco school groups and ensure that front line staff provides acceptable standards of customer care.
* Assist the Facility Officer with Service Developments including digital transformation of service and expansion of free school meals and school meal uptake.
