Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Secondary School | Solihull | September Start
A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the heart of Solihull is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This rewarding role would suit someone with previous experience working as a TA or within a support role in a care or education setting. Any prior experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be highly beneficial.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, patient, hardworking, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential. The children require consistency so the ability to commit to this role full time, is essential.
The Role:
Support pupils during whole class lessons and activities
Provide tailored 1:1 support for specific students
Deliver small group interventions and targeted support
Assist students with additional learning and emotional needs
Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Work closely with teaching staff and the SEN department to support pupil progress

Relevant qualifications/experience:
Previously worked as a TA or in a support role
Awareness of how to support children and young people
Previous experience or knowledge of how to support individuals with special educational needs
Great awareness of safeguarding
Ability to use own initiative

Start date: September 2026
Hours: Full time, Mon- Fri (08:30-15:15)
Rate of pay: £93- 100 (per day, dependent upon experience and qualifications)
