Hello,
My name is Lina, and I am the Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician Team Manager at Oxford. I support a dedicated team providing services to clinical trial research teams across Oxfordshire.
The Clinical Trials Pharmacy team includes Pharmacists, Technicians, Practitioners, Assistants, and Apprentices, with support from rotational staff. We collaborate closely with research teams within the trust and externally.

Main Duties
For Newly/Recently Qualified or Existing Pharmacy Technicians:
* Maintain supply chain of clinical trial medications
* Manage financial records and drug accountability
* Support trial setup, monitoring, and closure activities
* Ensure compliance with GCP, Medicines for Human Use Regulations, and EU directives
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent
* Registration with GPHC

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include managing clinical trial medicines, maintaining trial documentation, supporting aseptic preparation, liaising with research staff, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations. The role involves both clinical and aseptic unit duties, requiring attention to detail, teamwork, and good organizational skills.
Person Specification
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, registered with GPHC.
Experience: Post-qualification experience, ability to work fully gloved and gowned at an isolator. Desirable: NHS experience, clinical trials, aseptic experience.
Skills and Attributes: Reliable, accurate, professional, enthusiastic, good communication, adaptable, team player, numerate, organized, IT skills, ability to work independently, committed to CPD.
