About the Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in providing professional nursing care to residents of all ages in our long-term care facility. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will:
* Demonstrate your nursing expertise while ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of our residents.
* Administer medications and treatments as ordered, contributing to the assessment and care planning for each resident.
* Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
* Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team, maintaining clear communication and confidentiality.
* Counsel residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans, fostering a supportive environment.
* Perform other related duties as assigned, always with a focus on quality care.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* A graduation certificate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree is preferred.
* Experience in IV therapy/management if required, with completion of an approved course.
* A minimum of 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility, or supervised clinical experience across the lifespan.
* An unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
* Commitment to ongoing education and competency training as required by the department and facility.
