What Are We Looking For?
Our Chemical & Biological team is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, assisting in project delivery for various clients. You will be responsible for Control, Instrumentation, and Electrical works, including installation, testing, commissioning, and fault finding within new and existing MCCs, industrial instrumentation, analyzers, motors, actuators, and other equipment used in automated control systems related to RSE products and client industries such as Water, Chemical Dosing, and Petro-chemical.
Note: This position requires flexibility regarding working location, with accommodation provided by RSE.
Key Duties Include:
1. Provide a flexible approach to resource all commissioning requirements across projects.
2. Support the project team by developing commissioning plans, site commissioning files, methodologies, programmes, method statements, and risk assessments.
3. Monitor standards to ensure compliance with specifications and maintain quality standards.
4. Attend FAT activities and contribute to system controls discussions.
5. Carry out commissioning of LV Electrical systems, Instrumentation, and Control Systems including MCCs and field equipment.
6. Read and interpret electrical drawings, line diagrams, and P&IDs.
7. Complete SAT and Asset Start-up activities.
8. Document commissioning processes thoroughly.
9. Participate in HAZCOMM activities as required.
What Do You Need?
* Electrical/Instrumentation HND/HNC or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in Mechanical & Electrical full commissioning phases (installation, dry, wet, process testing).
* Experience holding SAP or AP positions and familiarity with PTW systems.
* Knowledge of iMCCs, VSDs, Softstarts, and instrumentation for flow, level, pressure, and temperature.
* Experience in executing pre-commissioning and commissioning for clean and wastewater projects.
* Experience in FAT, SAT testing, and fault finding.
* End-to-end telemetry testing experience.
* Profibus installation and commissioning certification.
* Flexibility regarding work location and out-of-hours work as required.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
