Can commercial excellence and genuine social impact coexist? My client has built an entire ecosystem to ensure they do.
I am resourcing a pivotal leadership role for a unique, impartial force for good within the UK’s food and consumer goods landscape. Operating with a charitable status, my client sits at the heart of the industry, uniting stakeholders, retailers, and thought leaders to deliver a thriving food system for public benefit.
As Director of Client Success, you will lead the commercial engine that funds this mission. This is not a standard "Sales Director" role; it is a position of strategic influence, where 100% of the profit you help generate is reinvested into social impact.
The Role: Strategic Leadership
Reporting to the leadership team, you will be responsible for the delivery of revenue targets, cost management, and a best-in-class client experience. You will oversee the commercial lifecycle for hundreds of global brands across subscription services, consulting, events, and learning.
* Commercial Strategy: Own revenue delivery and manage budgeting, forecasting, and action planning across all business units.
* Client Experience & Retention: Develop and embed a differentiated service model to drive efficiency and retention across client value segmentations.
* Senior Representation: Act as a sophisticated brand ambassador, directly managing key client relationships and engaging with commercial leaders up to CEO level.
* Operational Excellence: Partner with Client Ops and Marketing to refine CRM processes, sales operations, and resource allocation.
* People Development: Lead and coach a high-performing team of 4–5 direct reports, fostering an inclusive culture where you "solve it together."
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an inspiring professional who can navigate complex commercial landscapes without losing sight of the human element.
* Industry Authority: A deep understanding of the food and consumer goods industry. Experience within research-led or insight-driven organisations is strongly preferred.
* Financial Rigour: A proven track record of delivering commercial results, managing complex budgets, and identifying growth opportunities across diverse service lines.
* Executive Presence: An accomplished networker with an established industry network and the ability to build senior-level trust with diplomacy and integrity.
* Innovative Leadership: Experience in establishing sales objectives and implementing action plans while coaching a team through change.
* Resilience: A strong listener who thrives under pressure and possesses the discretion required to handle high-level industry foresight.
The Rewards: Financial & Personal Wellbeing
My client is proud to be a "Great Place to Work," offering a market-leading package designed to support your financial, physical, and mental health:
* Remuneration: Basic salary of £90,000 per annum plus a £7,000 car allowance.
* Flexibility & Balance: Hybrid working, 28 days' annual leave (plus bank holidays), Holiday Flex, and Early Finish Fridays.
* Financial Security: Market-leading pension scheme, discretionary bonus, life assurance, and independent financial advice.
* Health & Medical: Private medical insurance, "Doctor at Hand" service, gym discounts, and health screenings.
* Development & Impact: Support for professional qualifications, access to continuous learning, and a dedicated team charity day to support the organisation’s wider mission.
