Responsibilities
As a Transport Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our transport operation running safely, efficiently, and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Briefing and debriefing drivers at the start and end of shifts
* Acting as the first point of contact for driver queries and live operational issues
* Monitoring routes and vehicle movements throughout the shift
* Escalating delays or issues to the Team Manager where required
* Supporting operational excellence across service, cost, and peak planning
* Ensuring legal compliance in line with O-Licence requirements
* Managing payroll administration, holidays, and Kronos exceptions
* Delivering excellent customer service and quick resolutions to operational challenges
No two shifts are the same, so you’ll need to be organised, proactive, and confident making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
Shift Pattern
We currently have:
* 1 x Dayshift: 07:00 – 19:00
* 1 x Nightshift: 19:00 – 07:00
* 4 on 4 off rotation

What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have:
* Experience working within a busy transport or logistics environment
* Strong administration and organisational skills
* Good PC skills including Word and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
