About the Role
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP), acting as the highest technical escalation point and playing a key role in supporting and improving customer infrastructure environments.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer with strong virtualisation and infrastructure experience, who enjoys complex troubleshooting, project delivery, and providing technical leadership within an MSP environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the final escalation point for complex 3rd line issues
2. Own and support virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V)
3. Resolve advanced infrastructure issues across Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, and networking
4. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
5. Manage Azure infrastructure including VMs, networking, storage, and identity
6. Support core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
7. Lead technical input on infrastructure projects and migrations
8. Mentor and provide escalation support to 1st and 2nd line engineers
9. Ensure systems are secure, stable, and meeting SLA requirements
