Description
Due to the retirement of a long-term employee, we are seeking a highly motivated and capable Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team on the night shift.
This is a full-time salaried role with hours generally from 2.00 pm to 11.00 pm on a shift pattern. The role includes being part of the on-call roster and occasional Saturday work.
The primary focus is to minimize downtime related to plant and machinery. We are looking for a trade-qualified maintenance generalist experienced with various plant systems, including infrastructure and equipment within a food processing environment.
This role is ideal for an organized, hands-on individual who prides themselves on responsiveness and preventative maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience with MIG & stainless TIG welding
* Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
* Electrical experience is advantageous
* Eligible to work in New Zealand
* Enjoy working with your hands and in a physical role
* Good communication skills and willingness to contribute ideas
* Willingness to learn and work across different areas
* Reliable and organized
* Previous industry experience preferred
Applicants must have a background in Maintenance, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, supported by a NZCE or equivalent qualification. A full NZ driver's license and the right to work in NZ are required. A current practicing license is necessary for electrical qualifications.
