Accounts Payable Manager - Loudwater - £200 - £250 per day - Hybrid - Temp to perm
Mu client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the accounts payable process from receipt of invoices to payment disbursement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step.
2. Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
3. Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Monitor accounts payable aging reports and resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
5. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, escalate issues as needed, and ensure timely resolution.
6. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
7. Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and budget variance analysis.
8. Develop and implement process improvements to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
Qualifications:
10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
11. years of experience in accounts payable or related role, with [X] years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
12. Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
