NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for our client, who are a lead industrial user of additive manufacturing. Job title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Worcester Contract position Pay rate: £28/hour Shifts: 7am-3pm Mon-Fri Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role is critical in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruption. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, and coordinate procurement as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.Requirements: Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant technical qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Engineering or related field).Preferred Qualifications: Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals]. Certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) Advantageous PLC troubleshooting and programming knowledge.Working Conditions: On-call availability for emergency repairs.
