Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is seeking a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.

This exciting role has been developed to support patient care and service delivery. As a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you will be trained to deliver Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, which are the cornerstone of NHS Talking Therapies Services.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week in a permanent post. The training and salary are being supported with public funds.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be a trainee within the Herefordshire NHS Talking Therapies Service, delivering high-volume, low-intensity interventions to improve services for clients with common mental health disorders.
The programme of learning is delivered by Newman University Birmingham, offering person-centered assessment and lower-intensity psychological interventions.

Job Responsibilities
The postholder will be expected to work with people from different cultural backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, and be committed to equal opportunities.
The postholder will undertake professional training in low-intensity psychological interventions alongside the delivery of psychological therapies as part of the Stepped Care Model.
Person Specification
Experience
* A minimum of 12 months of direct clinical experience working with people with common mental health problems
* Demonstrates high standards in written communication
* Experience of working in Primary Care Services delivering low-intensity interventions
* Worked in a service where agreed targets/KPIs are in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
* High level of enthusiasm and motivation and able to work under pressure
* Highly developed organizational skills
Knowledge
* Ability to attend to learning and apply theory within clinical practice
* Demonstrate how you have worked with adults with common mental health disorders within adult clinical settings
* An understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy and how this is used within talking therapies
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent
* For those applicants whose first language is not English, the minimum requirements for TOEFL/IELTS are: 100 for internet-based TOEFL with no less than 23 in any band, 600 for paper-based TOEFL (TWE4) or 7.0 for IELTS with no less than 6.5 in any band
