Fleet Optimisation Manager

About the role
In this new role, you'll report to the Category Manager - Transport and Fleet, acting as a key link between fleet users across NZ Post. Your focus will be on fleet planning, optimisation, long-term strategies, and project delivery. Responsibilities include:
* Developing, implementing, and managing fleet asset investment/replacement plans
* Overseeing fleet CAPEX and OPEX forecasting, planning, and alignment
* Optimising the fleet lifecycle and supporting disposal as part of the asset replacement plan
* Leading capital and operational investment projects to ensure asset lifecycle plans are achieved
* Driving a consistent approach to fleet asset management across stakeholders
* Partnering with teams to align safety and sustainability targets
* Leading fleet improvements from concept to operational execution
You will report on the asset replacement plan, forecasted expenditure, and project delivery to senior leaders.
About you
You are detail-oriented, analytical, and a self-starter passionate about fleet planning and optimisation. You have strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience in fleet and asset management, project management, and ideally a Prince2 certification. You possess:
* Experience in developing asset replacement plans and managing capital investments
* Proven leadership in enterprise projects from concept to delivery
* Understanding of asset management principles and relevant legislation
* Technical knowledge of fleet industry and suppliers
You also have:
* Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
* A solution-focused approach
* Excellent relationship-building skills
* Knowledge of project planning best practices
* Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office
