Your Responsibilities
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
* Lead the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries.
* Compile monthly consolidated financial statements and provide insightful supporting analysis.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhanced administrative and financial systems.
* Assist in developing and monitoring budgets, including the preparation of budgeted financial statements.
* Supervise the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Manage and guide accounting staff responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, and fixed assets.
* Serve as a backup for various accounting areas to maintain segregation of duties within the department.
* Maintain the General Ledger and ensure the accuracy of user-defined financial statements.
* Support the preparation of audit materials and contribute to external financial reporting requirements.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
* Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and other Microsoft Office tools.
* Familiarity with accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Concur, and ERP platforms.
* At least three years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the automotive industry.
* Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
* Proven problem-solving abilities with a focus on identifying effective solutions.
* Knowledge of industry standards, including ASC 842/16, ASC 606/15, ASC 825, and Section 172 tax credit.
* Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and billing functions.
