Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
Fixed term contact, up to 12 months
Salary £44,926 - £49,138 per annum
We are really passionate about helping our communities to be the very best they can be. And as local government is set to change, we want your help to continue this focus and support our journey into the future…
We are part of a major transformation across Hampshire and the Solent area, which will see the creation of a new strategic authority in 2026 headed up by an elected mayor, followed by local government reorganisation. To help with this work in Test Valley, and ensure excellent outcomes for our communities, we are looking for an experienced project manager with expertise in organisational change and transformation.
Working with senior officers and councillors, your ability to build relationships quickly and positively influence others will mean that you're in a great position to support the organisation as we work towards transforming the council in readiness for devolution and local government reorganisation (LGR). Your aptitude for keeping people focused on delivering high quality work while managing multiple competing deadlines, will also be pivotal to success in this role.
And we're doing some cutting edge work with the Leadership Centre focusing on ongoing change and transformation, so this is an amazing, once in a career opportunity to collaborate with our amazing colleagues across the council as well as industry experts.
If you've got strong change management skills shaped by significant experience of managing similar projects elsewhere, then you could be a great fit for this fantastic role.
We're a really friendly bunch here at Test Valley, and we're committed to investing in our people, so you can hone and build new skills and grow your career.
Plus, we offer agile working and various other benefits in return, including discounted gym membership. Further information about our benefits can be found at Employee Benefits | Test Valley Borough Council
