Loughshore is looking to recruit a Chef to join the team. This is afull timerole.
Loughshore is located in the Jordanstown area of Belfast, on the County Antrim coastline. We are in a quiet area, off a main road, and surrounded by pleasant, private grounds, which our residents help to maintain. Our home offers residential support for 16 people with a primary learning disability diagnosis, people on the autism spectrum and those with behaviours that may challenge. People with physical health needs are also supported at the home.
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
* Ensures the effective and efficient planning, preparation and delivery of all aspects of food preparation and cooking, taking into account of dietary and nutritional requirements within the home
* Responsible for monitoring the home's catering budget within Priory standards, taking account of cost per cover calculations, as well as ensuring best value and quality of ingredients in consultation with the Home Manager
* Researches, develops and creates varied and interesting menus, which take account of healthy eating guidelines and any dietary requirements of the particular resident group
* Ensure all food stocks are managed and rotated as appropriate

You will have experience in preparing and cooking meals within a professional kitchen environment and have good written and verbal communication skills.
