*Police Support Volunteer*
We are looking for Volunteer Police Chaplains to support our officers and staff across Cumbria.
A vital support role within the constabulary, Chaplain’s offer officers and staff with impartial, spiritual and practical support, often during times of heightened trauma or stress.
You will utilise your experience to build rapport and trust, and your skill set to positively improve an individual’s wellbeing and resilience, through the pastoral care you provide.
You will be compassionate and non-judgemental in your approach with great listening skill. You will also have the confidence to go into a police station and initiate conversations with those who are working there.
You will be able to appropriately advise and signpost colleagues in need of additional support.
To enable us to truly reflect the communities we serve, we are eager to recruit people from all Faith Groups representative or lay people within Cumbria Constabulary.
You will need a relevant faith licence or professional accreditation or qualification enabling you to fulfil the role of a chaplain, which will enhance the pastoral care of our diverse officers.
