Wood is currently recruiting for an Operations Superintendent to support our client’s Operations and Maintenance team on a permanent staff basis. Hybrid working - 3 days working from the client’s site at Northop. Responsibilities The Role You will sit within the Operations and Maintenance Support Team at our client’s office and provide Onshore Operations Support coordination and day-to-day O&M management Ensures that the requirements of the asset Safety Case are delivered at all times Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations and maintenance activities to deliver safe, efficient and effective operations Ensure conformance to procedures and implement the project HS&E plan Ensure that the HS&E plan is clearly understood, maintained and not compromised by employees under OIM’s control Ensure that the Irish Sea Pioneer safety and environmental critical elements (SECE’s) are considered during maintenance and the control of change Ensure that the appropriate action is taken in response to the failure of any SECE Plan near- and mid-term operations and maintenance activities including financial and commercial considerations Ensure Irish Sea Pioneer is, in all respects, available to meet foreseeable operational demands Manage Engineering Change process for site Manage Asset Integrity through the planned activities associated with the Assurance scheme and communicate issues through the organisation as necessary Act as the client focal point for technical and operational matters on-site Act as delegate for the Rig Manager/Asset Manager position as necessary Act as primary contact for Independent Competent Person (ICP), Class Society and Flag State Comply with company policies, Code of Business Conduct etc., local policies, standards and legislation Bring to the attention of Supervisors any hazards or potential hazards in all spheres of activity Ensure knowledge and understanding of HS&E responsibilities and actively participate in health and safety activities on-site Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Expected: Degree in Engineering in the appropriate discipline Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course OGUK offshore medical Familiarity with Duty holder contract requirements Knowledge of Class Society function and role Knowledge of Safety Case function and requirements Good understanding of legislation appertaining to the classification of ships and verification of UK offshore installations Awareness and appreciation of LOLER, PFEER and DCR regulations Experience of fully automated machinery and electronically controlled systems Experience of computerised planned maintenance systems Permit to work system awareness STOP and/or Synergi awareness Experience of man-management of onshore support teams and offshore core crew teams Experience with setting targets and providing direction at an asset level to ensure wider targets are met Experience with the direct management of sub-contractors, especially Shipyards Company familiarisation and induction training covering operations, safety, QA/QC and protection of the environment Computer literacy, proficient in 'Word', 'Excel' and 'MS Project' Experience in the operation and maintenance of jack-ups would be an advantage
