Overview
By joining us as a Children's Nurse you will deliver high quality, holistic one-to-one care in the patient\'s home. You will be part of an ambitious team in Rochester, travelling throughout a regional area to provide specialist treatment and make a real difference in people\'s lives every day.
You will offer nursing tailored to the child\'s needs, ensuring professional standards are met and care plans are delivered. You may treat patients with a wide range of conditions, including growth hormone and biologic treatments for juvenile arthritis, Crohn\'s disease and psoriasis. You will manage your own daily workload while maintaining stock, supplies and equipment. All clinical data will be recorded accurately to ensure quality care, and any adverse effects reported via the correct protocol. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and address any gaps in clinical competency while staying compliant with policies and procedures. A full UK driving licence is essential as regional travel will be required to visit patients at home.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality nursing tailored to the child\'s needs and deliver care plans in line with professional standards.
* Deliver specialist treatment in patients\' homes and travel regionally from Rochester.
* Manage your own daily workload and maintain stock, supplies and equipment.
* Record all clinical data accurately and report adverse effects per established protocol.
* Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge and address gaps to stay compliant with business policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Registered Children\'s Nurse
* Competent in the administration of IV therapies
* Strong communication skills, including active listening, sensitive communication, teaching and assessing experience
* Ability to put people at ease while making technical details easy to understand
