As a Sales Assistant based in Rainhill, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
2. Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
3. Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
4. Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
5. Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch
This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday - and Saturdays - on a rota basis.

6. Prior industry/trade experience would be advantageous
7. Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential
8. Willingness to work as a part of a team in a fast paced environment in a diverse role
9. Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
10. To be comfortable lifting heavy items
