About the Role
JDR Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Diamond Driller to join their team in Pontypool on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long‑term career within the construction and drilling industry. No previous experience is required – full training will be provided for the right candidate. The role will involve a variety of site‑based tasks, including diamond drilling and other specialist operations, and will include working away from home when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out diamond drilling and related site activities
* Supporting skilled tradespeople both on‑site and in the workshop
* Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Following all health & safety procedures at all times
* Travelling to different sites as part of a team when required
About You
We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
You Must Have
* A valid UK driving licence
* A CSCS card (essential)
You Should Also Be
* Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
* Able to follow instructions and work safely on‑site
* In possession of basic PPE (boots, hi‑vis, gloves, etc.)
* Able to travel to the Pontypool area (own transport preferred)
