About The Role
At TCFM, we are passionate about Health & Safety. We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone proactive and forward-thinking to help drive our Health & Safety agenda forward. Ideally, you will be based around the Midlands, as the role will be field-based with travel across the UK.
Job Purpose
Overall responsibility for all health & safety matters for TC Facilities Management Ltd., including ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. The post holder reports directly to the Group QHSE Manager and will work closely with both head office and field teams, undertaking audits, policy reviews, risk assessments, and safety issues.
Major Accountabilities include:
* Ensure compliance with ISO 45001:2018 requirements and relevant legislation.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement programs in line with ISO 14001:2015.
* Hold corrective action meetings with relevant managers.
* Manage fire safety for the support office.
* Address non-conformances and project manage their resolution.
* Monitor H&S legislation to ensure company compliance.
* Oversee accident reporting procedures, including RIDDOR reporting to HSE.
* Gather statistics to evaluate performance and set objectives.
* Review COSHH, risk assessments, and safety data sheets regularly.
* Coordinate with training to ensure H&S induction training is delivered.
* Promote a health & safety culture across the organization.
* Report near misses and pregnancy risk assessments.
* Disseminate H&S information to personnel.
* Liaise with HSE and other agencies as required.
* Lead H&S on mobilization/demobilization projects.
Role Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of H&S law and the H&S Act 1974.
* Knowledge of ISO accreditation standards.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely.
* Experience with contract mobilization/demobilization projects.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience dealing with clients and staff at all levels.
* Tenacity, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work reliably under pressure.
