Job Description:
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.
We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.
We have an opportunity for an ambitious Senior Project Manager to join our Property team, based from either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office. You'll be delivering significant property schemes throughout Scotland and the North of England.
Our team is involved in delivering some of the region's largest and most exciting building projects in the residential, commercial office, and sports and leisure sectors ranging from £2m to over £1bn in value. We have a fantastic pipeline, and these projects will allow you to grow as an individual and work on industry-leading projects with top clients in the region.
Working with an established team, your work will include asset planning, defining the business/investment case, setting up governance for delivery, managing design phases, advising on procurement, and managing delivery to successful completion on site.
You will provide pre- and post-contract project management services, and may also act as Employers Agent and Contract Administrator to support our PM team, ensuring service excellence and positive client outcomes. You should demonstrate high technical capability, sound commercial knowledge, and a good understanding of cost and value drivers, while sharing knowledge and driving innovation.
* Managing projects within established financial systems and clear objectives, producing plans, schedules, tracking budgets, and highlighting variances to control delivery targets.
* Delivering or assisting with small to medium projects, ensuring resource use aligns with scope and deadlines.
* Presenting risks or issues to senior management to prevent adverse impacts and ensure compliance standards are met.
* Analyzing data to identify trends and making recommendations to support project decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience managing small to medium construction projects.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with peers and senior colleagues, and building relationships.
* Ability to negotiate and manage external stakeholder relationships.
* Commercial acumen and organizational understanding.
* A logical approach to complex issues and multi-faceted project coordination.
* Attainment or near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status.
