Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) | Shakespeare Walk-in Centre | Full-Time (40) & Part-Time
Are you an experienced ACP ready to practise at the top of your scope in a well-established urgent care service?
Shakespeare Walk-in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to predominantly manage minor injuries presentations, as well as minor illness, across all age groups, including paediatrics. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role within a supportive, clinically led environment.
Main Duties
1. Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness/injuries
2. Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills
3. Identify red flags and escalate appropriately in line with clinical governance
4. Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting
5. Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork
Essential Criteria
6. MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ACP courses at Level 7 including recognised modules in Advanced Physical Assessment Skills, Minor Injuries, Disease Management, etc.
7. Independent / Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)
8. Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
9. Confident, autonomous management of minor illness
10. Current NMC registration with no restrictions

Additional information:
17. Working Pattern: 12-hour shifts (08:00–20:00) on a 7-day rolling rota.
Candidates must be able to work flexibly across these hours. The full-time equivalent is 40 hours per week; however, we can offer contracts of up to 36 hours per week, worked in 12-hour shifts.
