Project Manager – Civil Engineering Location: Worcester, UK Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 Package (DOE) About the Opportunity We’re working with a specialist civil engineering contractor delivering complex infrastructure and structural projects across the UK. Known for their technical capability and hands-on project teams, they’re now seeking an ambitious Project Manager for a scheme based in Worcester. This role is ideal for a Site Engineer or Sub Agent who has steadily progressed through the ranks and is now ready to lead from the front. If you’re someone who understands site delivery, sequencing, and technical detail — and you're ready to take full ownership of a live project — this is your next step. The Project * Infrastructure-led enabling works and civils package for a live site * Mix of deep drainage, groundworks, RC structures, and temporary works * Value: £5m–£10m * NEC contract * Site-based, supported by a visiting Contracts Manager and commercial team Key Responsibilities * Take full responsibility for day-to-day delivery on-site, ensuring programme, quality, and H&S standards are met * Lead a site team consisting of engineers, foremen, and subcontractors * Manage subcontractor packages and ensure timely delivery of materials and services * Chair site progress meetings and liaise with the client team and consultants * Monitor progress against programme and mitigate delays or risks * Ensure robust site documentation: RAMS, permits, daily briefings, progress reports * Manage cost reporting in collaboration with the QS/commercial team * Foster a strong, safety-first culture across the workforce What We’re Looking For * Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent * Clear progression from Site Engineer → Section Engineer → Sub Agent * Strong leadership on site, with excellent communication skills * Experience delivering groundworks, infrastructure, or RC frames * Proficient with temporary works, setting out, and reading technical drawings * Good understanding of NEC contract (training provided if needed) * SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (mandatory) What’s on Offer * A genuine opportunity to step up and take ownership of a live project * Training and mentorship from an experienced operations team * Ongoing pipeline of civils and infrastructure work across the Midlands and South * A company that promotes from within and supports structured career development * Competitive salary * Vehicle allowance or company car * Pension, holiday, and performance-based bonus How to Apply If you’re a technically minded site leader ready for the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
