We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, and requires proficiency in both TIG welding and general fabrication techniques. The successful applicant will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively with hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities
* Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to fabricate components according to specifications
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
* Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products
Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding, is essential
* Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques, especially in sheet metal work
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
